Removing Himalayan Balsam along Fulford Ings
Monday 16th June, 9:30am-12pm
Join us on Fulford Ings and help to improve the area by pulling out invasive plant, Himalayan balsam. Balsam can completely dominate an area, creating a monoculture which diminishes our all important biodiversity. By removing balsam, we are minimising it's spread across our watercourses and greenspaces and making room for native wildflowers and plants which, in turn, support other species like bees, butterflies and water voles.
This session is suitable for groups of 5-20 people. If your group is bigger than this, please get in touch and we will see what we can do. There are no facilities on site.
