Reclaim Tang Hall Community Orchard

Tuesday 14th January 9.30am-12pm

Help us to manage and improve this area of grassland on the Sustrans route 66 cycle path (https://what3words.com/stack.lives.hero). It was planted up many years ago as an orchard site but unfortunately, a lack of management meant scrub and bramble took root (literally!)  There will be a variety of tasks to do such as scrub control, invasive species removal, caring for establishing young trees and planting bulbs (if the ground isn't too hard!).

There are no facilities on site but the orchard is close to St Nicks Environment Centre and so toilets and other facilities are close by (about a 10 minute walk). The session is suitable for groups of 5-15 people. If your group is bigger than this, please get in touch and we will see what we can do.

Book this session for your team by clicking below. A member of staff will then be in touch to confirm your booking and discuss details. For more information, contact Maria Gill by emailing maria@stnicks.org.uk.

If there are any health or mobility issues within your group that may affect someone carrying out the task, please get in touch and we will see what we can do to support you as there may be alternative tasks available. However not all tasks and sites are fully accessible.
