Help us to establish wildflower areas in Tuke Avenue Grassland. This is formally amenity grassland but we are hoping to improve the wildlife value of the site by introducing more wildflower species, improving overall biodiversity. The activity will involve digging out patches of earth so the soil is exposed (inverting) and then sowing the area with a wildflower seed mix.
There are no facilities on site. There is a shop and bakery about a 2 minute walk away. The closest toilets are in the Choose2Cafe in Hull Road Park across the road. This is about a 10 minute walk from Tuke Avenue Grassland. The session is suitable for groups of 5-15 people. If your group is bigger than this, please get in touch and we will see what we can do.
