Creating Wildflower Areas: Melrosegate Fields
Monday 7th April 10am-12.30pm
Help us to establish wildflower areas in Melrosegate Fields. This is formally amenity grassland but we are hoping to improve the wildlife value of the site by introducing more wildflower species, improving overall biodiversity. The activity will involve digging out patches of earth so the soil is exposed (inverting) and then sowing the area with a wildflower seed mix.
There are no facilities on site but Melrosegate Fields is close to St Nicks Environment Centre and so toilets and other facilities are close by (about a 5 minute walk). The session is suitable for groups of 5-15 people. If your group is bigger than this, please get in touch and we will see what we can do.
Book this session for your team by clicking below. A member of staff will then be in touch to confirm your booking and discuss details. For more information, contact Maria Gill by emailing maria@stnicks.org.uk.
If there are any health or mobility issues within your group that may affect someone carrying out the task, please get in touch and we will see what we can do to support you as there may be alternative tasks available. However not all tasks and sites are fully accessible.
