Remembering Queen Elizabeth II
Following the sad news regarding the passing of Her Majesty The Queen on Thursday last week we know that many of you across the St Nicks communities will be sharing in that sadness.
We will remember her commitment, devotion to duty, grace and dignity. Her inspirational and stalwart style of leadership over seven decades was a steadying presence and source of comfort and pride for generations of Britons. She loved the outdoors and would walk the moors often …”you can go for miles and miles and never see anybody….it has endless possibilities.”
We thank her for her exemplary and devoted service – a lifetime of duty and public service.
In order to allow staff and volunteers the opportunity to reflect on Monday 19th September, and as a mark of respect, we will observe a period of silence across social media and emails and virtually all regular volunteer sessions and recycling collections will be postponed. Where essential ecotherapy activities are scheduled, these will be managed on an individual basis to ensure impact to participants is mitigated.
For some this might be triggering your own experiences of bereavement, illness, and the inevitability of old age in our own families and friendship groups. If you need support at this time please consider using the following services:
