The Recycling Team are very excited to have signed up their 100th business customer – Clifford’s Tower managed by English Heritage. Collecting from the largest house in York (the Minster) as well as from businesses of all sizes – from national chains down to small, independent coffee shops – the recycling scheme is going from strength to strength. The team credits their success with their flexible and friendly approach to collections — tailoring the service to suit their customers ensures everyone feels valued. Considering there are only 6 members of the recycling team we don’t think they’re doing half bad!

The Team would also like to thank all who voted for Recycling Coordinator Sam Taylor in Resource magazine’s Hot 100 Award. Results will be announced on 6th February but Sam is just amazed to have been nominated alongside David Attenborough! The

Hot 100 recognises those who have made a contribution to the waste and resource industry. In 2017 Sam came 10th of 140 nominees, one of only three women to finish in the top 10.
