Tree Listening at the AGM

Big thanks go to Alex Metcalf‘ of the Tree Listening Project and our patron Anneliese Emmans Dean for making our annual general meeting a very special event. It was amazing to hear the sound of water rushing up our 160+ year old lime trees and about Alex’s adventures in connecting people with their local trees. Anneliese introduced Alex’s talk with a lovely reading, which you can hear in the video below, along with a recording of one of the trees. She’s also written a short blog post about the event which you can find on her page.Happy tweet about Tree Listening event

A rare picture of Lewis who’s normally busy hiding behind his camera

Some visitors also used the opportunity to explore our woodland and test their tree knowledge on a quiz trail. We were very pleased that all who took part recognised enough trees to win a bar of our 20th anniversary chocolate.

And thanks also go to Lewis Outing for taking pictures! We used the opportunity to take a picture of him for once as he’s normally busy hiding behind the lens.

All in all it was another lovely meeting of our members and supporters after a highly succesful year for the charity. Here’s hoping that 2019 AGM will be just as good, or even better!
