As well as our busy Autumn Fayre, we hosted a number of visiting groups this October. We gave a tour of St Nicks and talked about our projects to three student groups from Askham Bryan College and University of York.
The Centre was hired by the National STEM Learning Centre and Sustrans who use it as an inspiring setting for their training sessions. And we even hosted a wedding party who had a lovely time here despite storm Brian doing its best to spoil it.
Thanks to TCV York and People’s Health Trust‘s Local People Project funding we also had a lovely autumn afternoon with children from York Travellers Trust planting wildflowers to improve the habitat near our new bee bank. They also had fun making spooky clay faces on trees and doing a spot of pond dipping.
