Update: the works have now finished and we will find out what the results are in a few months

From Monday 22nd July- Friday 2nd August, we have teams from Capita and the Environment Agency working on site in order to carry out some ground investigations.

This work is being carried out to determine the areas of the site that are not contaminated by former landfill waste. Results from this work could lead to an exciting project focused on York becks that would have very positive effects for the local wildlife and environment.

Unfortunately, this work will cause some disruption on site over the next couple of weeks and there may be more vehicles in our car park than usual which will mean limited parking spaces on site but the Centre is open as usual. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause over the next couple of weeks. Once we know the results of the investigations, we will know if further works will be taking place in the future and will be sure to let you know. If you have any issues or questions in the meantime, please get in touch.
