Happy Spring Equinox along York Becks

We’ve celebrated the spring equinox with our Discover York Becks walk. Could not have had a better day for exploring how the character of the Osbaldwick and Tang Hall Becks changes over just a few miles.

Working with partners such as the City of York Council, Yorkshire Dales Rivers Trust and the Environment Agency, our aim is to improve their banks for wildlife and enhance flood resilience. It was lovely to see frogspawn in one of our wildilfe scrapes at Heworth Holme and to finish the walk with lunch outside.

To find out more about our York Becks Project follow the link or come along to one of our volunteering days at Heworth Holme or Cleanup Days.
