Climate change is one of the biggest threats facing humanity today and scientists are no longer arguing about whether it’s happening but how fast and how bad it is. Sadly, politicians are slow to act on the science and we will see how successful the climate negotiations in Paris (COP21) will be in setting global goals. Our task, as members of the Climate Coalition and citizens of the one planet we all share, is to make sure that the politicians know they have our mandate to act.
It doesn’t really matter whether we do it by cutting our carbon (with 10:10), inspiring others to do so (York Open Eco Homes), marching in British streets on 29th November or taking our message to Paris – the main thing is to do something positive and soon. Let’s not lose what we love to climate change!
