Better Becks and Reconnecting Communities

We have been lucky enough to be awarded funding through the Yorkshire Water Biodiversity Programme. This exciting project will look at Tang hall and Osbldwick becks, carrying out habitat work to improve the becks and the green spaces connected to them for our wonderful wildlife and the local community.

The project will run until April 2023 and in that time, we will establish a Beck Conservation volunteer group, carry out improvement works across 15km2 of river habitat and connected green space, engage and involve the community through events and volunteering opportunities and create healthier becks and green spaces that everyone can enjoy.

• Heworth Holme
• Wolfe Avenue woodland
