mammal tunnel check
Checking the mammal tunnel with Park Ranger, Eithne

Join us for a wander through the woods, looking for field signs to find out which mammals roam our woodland. Learn all about the mammals that live in the woodland, why this is an important habitat and what you can do to help look after it. Come for the whole session or just drop in when it suits.

Activities will include:

  • Checking footprint tunnels
  • Looking for field signs such as prints, droppings and burrows
  • Coppicing trees and using the branches to make homes in the woodland for small mammals

The event is family-friendly and suitable for all ages. You don’t need any prior knowledge of mammals to come along and join in. Light refreshments will be available from the Environment Centre

The event is part of our St Nick Community Woodland project which is funded and supported by Postcode Local Trust.
