Weekend Wildwatch: Mammal tracks and signs

Sat 9 Nov 2019 at 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

St Nicks Environment Centre, Rawdon Avenue, York, YO10 3ST

Looking for prints in our footprint tunnel

Wildwatch is a volunteering opportunity that gives nature enthusiasts a chance to discover the wildlife that can be found on our 24 acre nature reserve. Since 2011 the Wildwatch volunteers have been meeting every Wednesday morning to help us record the different species on site and assist in surveying and monitoring.

Join the St Nicks team for our weekend Wildwatch volunteering session and help us to identify and record the exciting species that use the site. Meet at the Environment Centre where we’ll have field guides and binoculars to borrow.

This month we will be looking signs of mammals such as prints, foraging activities and everybody’s favourite – poo! We’ll also be noting the other exciting species that we find along the way.

No prior experience is required; nature enthusiasts of all ages welcome.

Free entry, donations welcome.

Booking is not essential to attend the event but registering your interest via Eventbrite would be much appreciated. Thank you!

If you would like to join the weekly Wildwatch sessions, please get in touch with Maria by emailing volunteer@stnicks.org.uk.
