Organic Gardeners’ Question Time

Thu 5 Mar 2015 at 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm

St Nicks Environment Centre, Rawdon Avenue, York, YO10 3ST

Jean's Square Foot Garden at St Nicks - square foot gardening is a highly efficient organic way of growing fruit & veg in a small space

This event is part of St Nicks’ monthly social – an informal opportunity to socialise with like-minded people at the inspiring Environment Centre, and maybe learn something new. Light supper will be available from 7pm.

From 7:30pm, you can have your gardening questions answered by a panel of experienced gardeners recruited from York Organic Gardeners Association: Jane Thurlow and Tony Chalcraft who manage a highly productive 1-acre organic garden in Acomb suburbs, Terry Wolf who is also experienced in permaculture and straw bale building, and Rachel Baker who works with the Poppleton Community Railway Nursery. Please come prepared with some questions you’d like to ask on an aspect of growing either edible or ornamental plants.

If you have any spare seeds, bring them along to swap with others.

Entry: £2 for non-members/ free to members
