Join the St Nicks team at our beck focused community engagement sessions. You can find out more information about our ongoing becks projects and even have a go at various activities such as scything, tree planting, wildflower seed sowing and more. These sessions occur on a 3 week rotation where possible, and take place at the various sites along Tang Hall and Osbaldwick becks that we are currently working on through our Green Corridors York project and our Better Becks and Reconnecting Communities project. The sites include:
• St Nicks Local Nature Reserve
• Hull Road Park
• Tuke Avenue Grassland
• Melrosegate Fields
• Wolfe Avenue woodland
• Heworth Holme
We will update the website nearer to the time to confirm the location of each session and the activity that will be taking place. These sessions are family friendly events – all are welcome. Come for half an hour or stay for the full session!
*Please note that we will try to host these sessions on a 3 week rotation but if we are unable to find appropriate supervision, this may vary. Keep an eye on our events page for updates*
Thank you to The Green Recovery Challenge for funding our Green Corridors York project, and to Yorkshire Water for funding our Better Becks and Reconnecting Communities fund.
