In the interest of public and staff safety we have decided to cancel this event due to the coronavirus pandemic. We aim to present the workshops another time later in the year. Please keep an eye on our event listings and keep safe; apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Celebrate the start of spring by exploring the 24-acre nature reserve, enjoying the play area and mini-Stonehenge, and visiting the Environment Centre. Use the opportunity to drop off your TerraCycle recycling, join in the listed activities for adults or child-friendly ones running alongside, or just enjoy a hot drink:

  • 10:30am-1pm Eco-crafts & coffee: corks & umbrellas
Avoiding waste is best but upcycling is the next port of call. So what can you do with corks and broken umbrellas? Pop along to learn and share your upcycling skills over cake and hot drinks; bring a decommissioned umbrella and your own related upcycling project if you have one. Entry: suggested donation £2, no booking required but if you can, please register interest in attending
  • 2-4pm Ta(l)king action: wildlife-gardening
Learn from others and share your experiences of tackling the climate and ecological emergency. This month’s topic is making space for nature. Got a patch of land or even just a window box? Get tips for attracting wildlife to them – it will be good for your wellbeing and the planet. Please see the Eventbrite event page for a growing list of planned contributions from a variety of local groups and individuals. Entry by donation; no booking required but if you can, please register interest in attending

Free entry to the Environment Centre and nature reserve. Donations welcome for the activities.
