Fri 13 Sep 2019 at 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm
St Nicks Environment Centre, Rawdon Avenue, York, YO10 3ST
Meet at the Environment Centre to join Phil from Green Underwing and the St Nicks team for an evening session that introduces the mysterious world of nocturnal animals, including bats, moths and birds!
We will explore the sights and sounds of nocturnal wildlife and become nature detectives as we learn about the tracks and signs left by creatures of the night. We’ll also head out for a nature safari on the reserve, learn how to use bat detectors, and if the weather is kind, we also hope to have some real live moths for you to meet. Important note – nocturnal animals are wild so we can’t guarantee sightings.
Please bring appropriate clothing and a torch. No prior experience is required; nature enthusiasts of all ages welcome.
Entry: £3 (under 8’s free). Booking is recommended via the form below or on 01904 411821.
Bookings are closed for this event.
