Learn to scythe with our Nature Reserve Manager, as part of our Meadow Keepers project. Scything is the heritage skill of mowing grass, which is great for improving the wildlife value of grasslands and a brilliant workout. This workshop is suitable for complete beginners or those wanting to improve their skills.

All tools and equipment provided but if you have your own scythe please bring it along. Please bring appropriate outdoor clothing and pack lunch. Drinks & biscuits will be provided.

Free entry – please note that priority is given to volunteers involved with our Meadow Keepers project sites. If you are not an existing volunteers, please contact us to see if there any spaces going spare. Booking is essential via the form below or on 01904 411821.
