Green exercise: Woodworking
Thu 19 Apr 2018 at 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
St Nicks Environment Centre, Rawdon Avenue, York, YO10 3ST
Led by experienced tutor Mick Phillips, sessions will focus on developing woodworking skills by making items such as bird boxes, bat boxes, benches and nursery beds that can be used out on the nature reserve. There will also be the opportunity to develop finer carpentry skills, learning how to make stools, spoons or other more decorative items according to participants interests. No previous experience is necessary and all tools and materials will be provided.
Our Green Exercise programme is part of our Ecotherapy project and a city-wide bespoke range of activities, which is co-ordinated by York Mind and funded by City of York Council. It is free and open to all York residents aged 18+ who feel they would benefit from improving their wellbeing.
Entry is free but booking is essential as places are limited – please contact ecotherapy@stnicks.org.uk or call Kathy Sturgess on 01904 411821.
