Have you heard of St Nicks? Do you know what we do here in the ‘Green Heart of York?’ Could we be one
of York’s best kept secrets?

To make more people across York aware of the great things we do and what our space has to offer, we are
re-opening our Environment Centre and welcoming everyone to come and explore our vibrant space! Come and experience everything St Nicks has to offer. Unique taster sessions and fun challenges available to book,
including lots of family friendly activities.

Actvities

Each of our departments will be offering  taster sessions sutiable for a variety of ages and abilities. Under 12’s go free!

Zero Waste –

  • Sort it!
  • Precious Plastics pendants

Ecotherapy –

  • Eco book club
  • Mindful nature walks
  • Nature poetry recycled
  • Woodland family fun
  • Craft an everlasting branch of flowers with the Eco crafters
  • Learn more about our Thriving at Work programme

Green Spaces –

  • Introduction to Wild watch
  • Have a go Scything

Refreshments

For all your food and drink requirements we will have a number of local vendors onsite throughout the day.

We’ll be selling a range of beers from York’s finest Brew York brewery.

Award winning Cooper King Distillery will be on hand to talk you through their ethically sourced,sustainable gins. Come and try Englands first Carbon negative gin!

In need of a hot beverage? Ninja Coffee will be serving  teas, coffees and hot chocolates from the carpark.

How to find us

Our postcode is YO10 3FW  Vehicular access is only via Rawdon Avenue/Harington Avenue and parking is very limited therefore we would encourage all to use public transport, walk or cycle to the reserve, we have various access points via Bull Lane, Hazel Court, Foss Island. Cycle route 658 passes right by!
