Would you like a warm home that doesn’t cost a fortune to run and shrinks your carbon footprint? Besides pushing politicians to get more ambitious and pass net zero emissions target into law,  one of the most effective things we can do is to cut our carbon and energy bills by super-insulating homes. Join our informal workshop at FortyFive Vinyl Café:

  • Andy Walker of SURE Insulation – the Technical Editor of the best selling Haynes Manual on Home Insulation will present, in his usual enthusiastic and humorous style, a host of straightforward ways to significantly improve the warmth in your home – without it costing the earth. Andy also offers ‘Whole House Energy Audits’ and ‘House Warming Parties’. On the night you’ll get a chance to speak to local residents who have had an audit done and consider being part of a carbon and cold busting co-operative.
  • Members of York Community Energy will be seeking your views on their proposal for a local carbon balancing scheme to help insulate York homes, especially those in fuel poverty.

Event is organised by St Nicks and York Community Energy, as part of York Open Eco Homes project and a contribution to One Planet York.
