Eco home retrofitting can increase comfort, reduce energy bills and carbon footprint – if done well. There is more to energy efficiency than sticking some insulation or heat pump in though, and it can be tricky to get started or to resolve issues along the way. This evening is aimed at all home owners either starting out or anywhere along their retrofit journey such as previous York Open Eco Homes participants. Come along to:

• share your experiences, issues and tips on insulating, airtightness measures, ventilation and low carbon technologies – or to find out what they are!
• ask questions
• meet York Community Energy’s Warmer Homes team who can help through home assessments

Join in conversations on how we can reduce our dependency on fossil fuels and contribute as citizens to York’s pledge to reduce its climate impact. Only around a third of York homes are well insulated while a third of York’s carbon emissions comes from heating and powering our homes. Together we can try to do something about it and help each other along the way.
