Come and have an inspiring day with national expert Steven Falk, who has described St Nicks as “one of the best urban sites for pollinators I’ve ever seen“.

Learn all about pollinators, how to identify different species and get tips for progressing your ID skills further. The day begins in the classroom with an introduction to pollinator conservation, decline, lifecycle and their ecology. We will cover the basics of pollinator identification of the most common species, and there will be opportunities to view pinned specimens.

The rest of the day will be spent finding and identifying different pollinators at St Nicks Local Nature Reserve. The objective is to give you the basic skills and confidence to begin studying and identifying pollinators on your own.

Entry: £50 per adult/ £35 concessions. Booking is essential via the form below or on 01904 411821.
