Please note this online event is aimed at City of York residents and requires booking via Eventbrite. Unfortunately, we cannot deliver materials beyond the city boundaries. If you’re from outside the city you’re welcome to watch the workshop and chat if there are spare non-resident tickets.

Join St Nicks on Zoom for a fun workshop and social occasion, kindly funded by the City of York Council’s Better Care Fund. Join in to:

  • Make yourself a felted bowl under the guidance of a St Nicks’ Eco-Crafter and experienced textiles teacher Pam Mills. You will have a go at different stages of turning wool into felt and see other examples of felt crafts products. Please note that felting is a bit of a workout and may not be suitable for people with a limiting health condition – please email if not sure whether it’s for you.
  • Find out about St Nicks’ work to counteract human threats to nature (which include intensive livestock agriculture) and to improve York both for nature and people.
  • Have an informal chat – bring a cuppa if you’d like to.

The event is for anyone affected by the pandemic, especially those feeling isolated or shielding and in need of social connection. No previous arts or crafts experience are necessary. York residents will receive the materials needed.

Advance booking by 5th March is essential to ensure we can deliver your kit in time, either via Evenbrite or by emailing with your phone number and York address. As per our privacy policy, your contact details will not be shared with anyone and only used to arrange your participation in the event.

Free entry, please book ahead via Eventbrite
