Please book via Eventbrite by 5th February

Beeswax is a wonderful natural material and connecting to nature is a great way to keep good mental health. Beat the winter blues by joining St Nicks on Zoom for a fun workshop and social occasion, kindly funded by the City of York Council’s Better Care Fund. You will:

  • Make yourself a beeswax candle to help light up the darkness
  • Make yourself a beeswax wrap for sandwiches or as reusable food covering
  • Learn a bit about pollinators, St Nicks’ work to help them and what you can do to be bee-friendly

There will also be time for informal chat over a cuppa (though you will have to make it yourself). The workshop will be led by members of St Nicks’ Eco-Crafters Club and you will receive the materials needed. The event is for anyone in York affected by the pandemic, especially those feeling isolated or shielding and in need of social connection. No previous arts or crafts experience are necessary.

Advance booking by 5th February is essential to ensure we can deliver your kit in time, either here on Evenbrite or by emailing with your phone number and address. As per our privacy policy, your contact details will not be shared with anyone and only used to arrange your participation in the event.

Free entry – for York residents only.
