St Nicks Environment Centre, Rawdon Avenue, York, YO10 3ST

September 2017 Cleanup
One of the participants of September 2017 Cleanup

Join the last 2018 session of the monthly series.

Help litterpick along the Tang Hall and Osbaldwick Becks for wildlife and people’s safety. Removing litter improves wildlife habitats, such as homes for protected water voles, and aids flood prevention too by helping to stop drains getting blocked.

Any age and any ability welcome. Under 13s need to be accompanied by an adult and 13-17 year olds need parental consent. Majority of the work is on beck banks and not on footpaths, involving quite a bit of walking. If mobility is an issue, we can locate you closer to the Environment Centre and on paths if required. Litter picking equipment and gloves will be provided. Light refreshments will be available.

This event is part of our York Becks Project, funded by Lord Mayor 2016-17’s fundraising success.

Free entry. No booking necessary for individuals but please contact us if you’d like to bring a group.
