Monthly events from March to September – click on the York Becks tag to see the full list

Help with future flood prevention and improve wildlife habitats, including for protected water voles, by joining us as we clean up Tang Hall and Osbaldwick Becks. We will be litter picking, removing fly-tipping and generally tidying up the becks and their bank sides.

Any age and any ability welcome. Under 13s need to be accompanied by an adult and 13-17 year olds need parental consent. Majority of the work is on beck banks and not on footpaths, involving quite a bit of walking. If mobility is an issue, we can locate you closer to the Environment Centre and on paths if required.

Litter picking equipment and gloves will be provided. Light refreshments will be available.

Two Ridings Community Foundation LogoThis series of events is funded by the York Flood Appeal Fund managed by Two Ridings Community Foundation and is part of our York Becks Project.

Free entry. No booking necessary for individuals but please contact us if you’d like to bring a group.
