An Introduction to Growing your Own Mushrooms – FULL

Organised by York Organic Gardeners Association and led by Sam from Leeds Permaculture Network.

This practical session will include an introduction to fungi, their biology and ecology and cover various methods of cultivation including using wood chip, logs , straw, cardboard and coffee grounds. For the last hour or so we’ll be actually inoculating logs and you will be able to take away with you a log ready to mushroom! There will be lots of opportunities to ask questions or explain things in more detail.

The cost of the workshop includes the inoculated log which you will take home with you. If you have a cordless drill you can bring please do so.
