Donate to the Centre Repairs Fund

The pond dipping platform which we use for school visits and summer holiday sessions for public is in need of repair too.

Vital repairs are needed for the Environment Centre, which has had a lot of wear and tear since it opened in 2000. The Centre acts as an educational resource, a visitors’ centre for the nature reserve and a community hub, often receiving 150 visitors in a week from varied groups including volunteers and school children.

We are in need of funds to for example repair broken shutters, replace our ageing PV solar panels and install a new compost toilet. Any donations are welcome, thank you!

Our funding target is £20,000 and as of February 2017 we have raised £7,715 through donations, fundraising events and a £2,500 grant from the Guildhall Ward which will go towards replacing decking around the pond and the pond dipping platform – needed for our summer holiday activities. Many thanks to those who have contributed so far!
