The Derwenthorpe Wildwatch project aims to engage residents in discovering the wildlife living in the natural space surrounding the Derwenthorpe housing development. We launched it on 1st February 2017 with presentations by Jonathan Dent from St Nicks, Phil Taylor from online sensation EcoSapien and Andrew Cutts from the York Urban Buzz project.

After a couple of taster sessions, regular weekly sessions started in March with the following activities:
