This workshop on riparian mammal ID and survey methods, delivered by Ann Hanson (Yorkshire Mammal Group Field Studies Adviser),  is aimed at sector professionals and green space volunteers.

Programme of the day:

9am – Riparian mammal ID and field signs (water vole, otter, mink and water shrew)

9.45am – Riparian mammal survey methods, including risk assessment and health & safety

10.30am – Search for field signs and inspection of water vole rafts at St Nicks Nature Reserve

12pm – Final Discussion

12.30 – close

Please bring wellington boots, waterproof clothing and thick waterproof gloves. All participants are welcome but not required to take part in the Water Vole Wanders in the afternoon.
